I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis 22 years ago. My gastroenterologist treated me with various strengths of Mesalazine and in the initial years my conditions was well maintained in remission with the occational relapse. Ten years ago my condition started to deteriorate with frequent relapses. I was put onto heavy doses of cortisone which helped me get back into remission. However as soon as the cortisone doses were reduced, I would experience a relapse. My situation became untenable. My quality of life had completely deteriorated to a point were I was literally under "house arrest". I had to be near a toilet all the time as my digestive system could not keep in any food that I ate. My option was to under surgery to have my colon removed, something that I was not ready for and was unthinkable. One year ago, I spotted an advertisement from The Other Option in the weekend paper. I thought I’d update you on the progress of my baby girl . Being on Nexium for nearly four yours, I had to stop taking the tablets when I found out that I was pregnant.When discussing my very sensitive stomach history (candida, IBS, H. pylori, constipation) with the gyni, she suggested I take Gaviscon or gel acid, but she told me that only from the second trimester could she prescribe Pantoloc, and that I would have to live with the nausea and reflux for the first 13 weeks.I couldn’t eat vegies or fruit, and I had to stop eating fish and chicken altogether (I do not eat red meat), as I got terrible heartburn when I ate it, and with heartburn comes nausea. I would like to let you know that i bought the oil almost 2 weeks ago from the Weleda pharmacy in Bryanston (naturally yours centre) . This tonic is amazing, it works wonders. Siberian Pine Nut Oil is what Sophia calls it, but I call it the "Miracle Oil". I will explain to you just how The Other Option’s Siberian Pine Nut Oil helped me recover, and miraculously cure me from Ulcerative Colitis. Growing up I was always a healthy kid with no illnesses at all. After the birth of my second child at the age of 22, I started becoming constipated frequently and had to make use of laxatives in order to relieve myself, which was quite frustrating and difficult at times. In January 2010, I noticed streaks of blood in my faeces. Blood in my faeces was scary, depressing and had become a part of my life and the thought of bowel cancer always crossed my mind, this carried on for months as all treatments prescribed by the doctors never helped me. I then started getting sick and losing a lot of weight as I had diarrhoea constantly and everything I ate never digested in my stomach. It simply came out, even though I was eating healthily, nothing stayed in the stomach. The blood was becoming increasing viasable every day, some days being bright red, other days it was a darkish red. My anus could not take the pressure of the constant diarrhoea and going to the toilet to relieve oneself from the faeces was a nightmare, as I had to endure terrible pain. In July 2010, I consulted a very friendly and helpful Gastroenterologist who was going to treat my condition and I was booked for a colonoscopy. The results were horrible as I was diagnosed with "Ulcerative Colitis" (an inflammation disease of the colon), I was given prednisone to treat the disease (the prednisone does work if you use it every day of your life), it worked to stop the bleeding for a weak but its side effects were a swollen face (known as a balloon face) and a lot of additional unnecessary weight gain. It felt horrible knowing that I would be on tablets for the rest of my life. My husband would sit up late into the night researching available herbal products as we both hated the fact that I would need to use tablets daily as the tablets are known to eat away at your bones and cause liver damage after a couple of years. Siberian Pine Nut Oil is what Sophia calls it, but I call it the "Miracle Oil". I will explain to you just how The Other Option’s Siberian Pine Nut Oil helped me recover, and miraculously cure me from Ulcerative Colitis. Growing up I was always a healthy kid with no illnesses at all. After the birth of my second child at the age of 22, I started becoming constipated frequently and had to make use of laxatives in order to relieve myself, which was quite frustrating and difficult at times. In January 2010, I noticed streaks of blood in my faeces. Blood in my faeces was scary, depressing and had become a part of my life and the thought of bowel cancer always crossed my mind, this carried on for months as all treatments prescribed by the doctors never helped me. I then started getting sick and losing a lot of weight as I had diarrhoea constantly and everything I ate never digested in my stomach. It simply came out, even though I was eating healthily, nothing stayed in the stomach. The blood was becoming increasing viasable every day, some days being bright red, other days it was a darkish red. My anus could not take the pressure of the constant diarrhoea and going to the toilet to relieve oneself from the faeces was a nightmare, as I had to endure terrible pain. In July 2010, I consulted a very friendly and helpful Gastroenterologist who was going to treat my condition and I was booked for a colonoscopy. The results were horrible as I was diagnosed with "Ulcerative Colitis" (an inflammation disease of the colon), I was given prednisone to treat the disease (the prednisone does work if you use it every day of your life), it worked to stop the bleeding for a weak but its side effects were a swollen face (known as a balloon face) and a lot of additional unnecessary weight gain. It felt horrible knowing that I would be on tablets for the rest of my life. My husband would sit up late into the night researching available herbal products as we both hated the fact that I would need to use tablets daily as the tablets are known to eat away at your bones and cause liver damage after a couple of years.
